Balmer Lawrie Investments Ltd (BLIL) is a government-owned investment holding company, incorporated in 2001 as part of the restructuring of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. BLIL acts primarily as the promoter and holding entity for Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd, a diversified conglomerate operating in sectors such as industrial packaging, greases and lubricants, logistics, and travel and vacation services. The company’s operations are closely aligned with the policies and interests of the Government of India, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Operating with a lean structure, BLIL's primary function is to hold and manage its majority stake in Balmer Lawrie & Co., facilitating strategic oversight while ensuring compliance with listing and regulatory obligations. With no direct manufacturing or operational activities of its own, BLIL’s financial performance is directly linked to the business and dividend flows of its subsidiary.
